Privacy policy

This document describes exactly what this website does. It must be reviewed and dated by the data controller before going live.

Data controller

Data collected and purposes

This site collects no data without your knowledge. The only information processed is what you deliberately enter.

Booking form

Chosen trip, preferred window, number of travellers, name, email address, phone and free-text message. Purpose: to produce a proposal and reply to you. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request.

Custom quote

The composition of your journey — stages kept, stages removed, options ticked, length — together with your contact details. That composition is built inside your browser: it only reaches us when you click to send it. Purpose: to produce a quote. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps.

Contact form

Name, email, phone and message. Purpose: to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent.

Mini-guide (newsletter)

Email address only. Purpose: to send you the requested guide. Legal basis: your consent, collected through an unticked checkbox. Sign-up is double opt-in: a first message asks you to confirm, and the guide is only sent once you have clicked. You are not enrolled in any commercial mailing list, and you may ask for your address to be deleted at any time.

If you write to us on WhatsApp, the exchange is governed by WhatsApp’s own terms (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd), over which we have no control.

Cookies and trackers

This site sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party trackers. There is therefore no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

Two strictly technical items are kept by your browser, on your device only, and are never sent to us:

• ness-guide-vu — avoids offering you the mini-guide again once you have seen it.
• ness-favori-… — remembers the pages you marked with a heart.

You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Recipients and processors

Your enquiries are received by NESS Voyage alone. They are not sold, rented or passed to third parties for commercial purposes.

The site host is [À COMPLÉTER — host] and the domain name is managed by [À COMPLÉTER — registrar]. These providers may process technical data (IP address, server logs) solely for the security and correct operation of the service.

Retention period

• Enquiries with no follow-up: three years from last contact.
• Traveller files: as long as needed to perform the contract, then accounting records kept as legally required.
• Addresses collected for the mini-guide: deleted on request, and at the latest three years after sending.

Your rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your data, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise them, write to contact@ness-voyage.com. We reply within one month. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. No form stores data on the server: each one prepares a message that you send yourself, from your WhatsApp app or your mail client.

Photographs

The people photographed in the publisher’s images agreed to it. If you appear in one and would like it removed, write to us: it will be taken down without argument. Credits for freely licensed photographs are listed on the legal notice.
